Hello there,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Here’s a little bit about me, and why I started my journey.
I didn’t learn to cook at home when I was a teenager, I was never willing to learn. My mum did all the cooking. She was a hard worker in the kitchen and always so fast in preparing some of the most complex Bosnian meals. I developed an interest in food when I moved out, and I would always read recipes and go “by the book”. I have experienced many challenges in the kitchen over the years my main one being that I am slow. I am. Slow to chop, slow to cook, slow to plate.
I bought my first Thermomix in January, 2016 by becoming an independant consultant. I have stayed on as a consultant since and enjoy having the power in changing people’s lifestyles. Changing the way they cook to save time, health and money.
On my consultant journey I have learnt a lot about the machine that has saved me many hours in the kitchen. I have learned a lot about people, the food we prepare and their health benefits. Healthy for me means “healthy for the soul”. I refer to it as the “no diet” diet. I am blessed enough that I don’t have any food allergies and intolerances so to me food is an all even playing field, minus olives. Gross.
I am mindful moreso now than I ever was about additives in food, and I am developing an interest in making healthier options by making as many things as I can from scratch like my own peanut butter, condensed milk, ice cream, pizza etc.
Now that my time in the kitchen is a breeze, I’ve spent more time reading recipes and taking an interest in recipe conversion, converting recipes that would take up a lot of someones time and making them quicker with my kitchen pet Thermomix.
I would really love to teach others to cook with simplicity and encourage them to get creative. I hope you are one of them.
Thanks for visiting,
Yours in Thermomixing,
Tanja E.
